Brooklyn woman wins spot in Frenchtown-to-Missoula marathon

A Brooklyn woman who recently won free registration in the Missoula Marathon during an episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” will travel to Montana in July to take part in race weekend.

Monique Frazier was chosen from the studio audience on June 9 to participate in the Cell Phone Shootout. During the contest, three audience members use their camera phones to snap a picture of random images that quickly rotate across a large screen. Frazier snapped a photo of running shoes and won free race registration in the Missoula Marathon on Sunday, July 11.

9 Frenchtown softball players named all-conference, 3 earn all-state honors

Broncs championship game on the radio today

The Frenchtown Broncs Class A state championship football game against Billings Central will be simulcast on KGRZ ,1450 AM, and KBQQ, 106.7 FM.

The game will be played at Daylis Stadium in Billings, at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 21. Coverage begins at 12:30 p.m.

Bobcats fall to Plains 20-6 in first home game of the season

The Plains Savage Horseman came to Superior on Friday night and handed the Bobcats a 20-6 loss in a game which was closer than the final score might indicate.

Panthers score three TDs against Granite

Alberton took an early lead and scored three touchdowns against perennial powerhouse Granite, with Matt Foley leading the Panthers on the ground with 85 yards and a touchdown. But the Prospectors pulled away in the second half to win the season opener by a score of 68-20.

Not heavy gray skies nor cool light raindrops could slow Mineral County elementary students Wednesday afternoon as each of the three area schools poured into Superior to compete in the Fourth Annual Governor’s Cup Fun Run.

Personal bests propel first-ever Mineral County team to nationals

SportsFor the first time ever, Mineral County 4-H shooting sports has qualified outright as a team for the National Junior Olympics.



Mackenzie Crabb, Dahkota Hayes (standing), Luke Boyce, and Matt Hayes all shot personal bests at the State 4-H Shooting Sports Competition in Bozeman to defeat Gallatin County by one point.

The four will travel to Camp Perry, Ohio July 6-10 to compete against teams and individual shooters from every state at the CMP’s (Civilian Marksmanship Program) new indoor shooting range.
