County to mail Evaro/Finley-O'Keefe ballots Oct. 19
Evaro residents will decide whether to create a five-member Evaro/Finley-O'Keefe Community Council to advise Missoula County commissioners on matters of interest to the community. The ballots will be mailed Oct. 19, and must be returned by Nov. 3. The current proposal involves that would include voting precincts 39, 40, 41 and 42. The Commissioners voted July 13 to authorize a mailed special election to residents of the proposed council area in November 2009.
Ballots will be sent October 19, 2009 and are due November 3, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.
If approved by the voters, Missoula County commissioners will accept applications for five community council members. The initial five members will be appointed to serve staggered terms of one, two and three years.
