The Ninemile Wildlife Workgroups hosts its first annual community potluck and party Sunday Aug. 9 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Ninemile Community Center, 25620 Nine Mile Road. Bring your friends and family; a tasty treat to share if you can, and enjoy great company, tasty food, prize drawings, kids games, and fun presentations!

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, seal/cover and striping work on Adams Street and Railroad Street from the Petty Creek interchange to the I-90 interchange has been extended to August 14. Traffic will continue to be limited to one lane. LS Jensen apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates your understanding and cooperation.

Help us raise $10,000 to purchase a K9 drug dog for the Mineral County Sheriff's Office to help stop drug transportation and deter drug use. Mineral County Community Food Bank is open from 10:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. every Friday.

Any chance of real hope and/or change must come from the grassroots of the nation. The Mineral County Friends of the Library welcomes new members to help support the county library system.
