A public meeting will be held Tuesday, June 2, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Regis School to discuss the Lolo National Forest ownership of nearly 30 miles of the “Route of the Hiawatha.” If people are interested, a collaborative group will be invited to work with the Forest Service to create a proposal on managing this outstanding historic and recreational resource. The Old Schoolhouse Rock Car Show still needs volunteers for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Mineral County Community Foundation will meet this Thursday evening June 4 at the Old School at 6 p.m. to prep for the car show. Stop by and lend a hand!

Alberton American Legion Post 131 meets at 7:30 p.m. every first Thursday of the month at the Alberton Senior Center. The Mineral County Friends of the Library welcomes new members to help support the county library system. The Ninemile Wildlife Workgroup meets the first Tuesday of each month, 7 p.m., at the Ninemile Ranger Station's Visitor Center. Residents of Ninemile, Sixmile, Huson and Petty Creek are especially welcome to join us in our efforts to maintain the historic and regionally important Ninemile Wildlife Corridor which overlays these areas.
