FeaturesDonations of cash or prizes are sought for the first annual summer solstice Poker Ride on June 21 to benefit Mineral County Search and Rescue (in memory of Jack Ermels). A lucky raffle winner will claim a brand-new Mossberg .270 (100 ATR with 3-9x40 scope), in a fundraising event for Mineral County 4-H Shooting Sports. Dahkota Hayes has qualified for the national tournament in Grand Island, Neb. June 23-26. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. The drawing will be held June 2. The Mineral County Friends of the Library welcomes new members to help support the county library system, every third Friday of the month at 1:30 p.m., in the foyer of the Superior branch Library. Call Leslie Heppe, 822-4650, Jim Goss, 822-5000, or Dan Arnsan, 822-4935. The next meeting is May 16.

The Mineral County Conservation District meets at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday at the Extension Office. All meetings are open to the public and an agenda will be posted at the MSU-Mineral County Extension Office, 301 Second Ave E., Superior, MT 59872. The next meeting is May 20.

Superior Mountain Lodge #110 meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month beginning at 7 p.m. The next meeting is May 20.

The Mineral County Healthy Communities project will host a luncheon Tuesday May 20 at noon in the commissioners' room, Superior. The 32nd Annual St. Regis Flea Market will be held May 24, 25 and 26 from daylight to dark. The Corporation for Public Community Newspapers meets every other month, on the fourth Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at the River Edge in Alberton. The meetings are open to the public. CPCN sets goals, reviews performance, and funds special projects for the Clark Fork Chronicle. The next meeting is May 27.

The Ninemile Wildlife Workgroup meets the first Tuesday of each month, 7 p.m., at the Ninemile Ranger Station's Visitor Center. Residents of Ninemile, Sixmile, Huson and Petty Creek are especially welcome to join us in our efforts to maintain the historic and regionally important Ninemile Wildlife Corridor which overlays these areas.
