The Grapevine for April 24, 2008
What high school subject did you most dislike? Will you or did you ever use it?

Frank Cherry-Schwab: Math. I just don't like numbers and stuff like that.
Terry Case: Math--I didn't understand the concepts that math is based on. But for over 45 years I have had to use math in all phases of my life and work. While I was able to take additional refresher courses to keep me current, I also found many younger associates that did not understand math and its necessary value.
Jim Tangen: Math. I like it now. I didn't like much of school at all--full of stuff I HAD to do. Finished it, though. People nowadays need a machine to help them count change. You gotta have math.
Brenda Nicholl: History. Math. History for the fact the teacher wanted when, where, how, why. My theory was simple answers. Math I didn't need. Geometry. Trig. I need simple. I am a simple person.
