Back in the Day for April 24, 2008
Forty years ago this week:
James Koke, then-principal of Superior School, was named the new Superintendent. Koke’s promotion came in the wake of the unexpected retirement of Superintendent Dale Zorn, in order to pursue further education or active teaching. Koke’s education included a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Montana College and a Master’s from the University of Montana. He had taught for five years in Kremlin before making his way to Superior. Playing at the Strand: “In Like Flint” and “The Appaloosa.”
