Rosie’s Cafe is continuing to offer great food and service at the Old School/Alexander Square in Superior. Find out what we’re serving up for lunch and dinner by giving us a call at 822-8200.

Fire Training Basic Refresher training TR-130 will be offered on March 29 and April 12. The pack test will be offered at the same time. You must bring your own pack weighing 45 pounds. Last years incident qualifications card (red card) must be shown to get a 2008 card. IS-700 available on line for all FFT2 and up. Contact Roger Hearst at 822-3353.

The Mineral County Medical Foundation will sponsor its second annual spring auction April 26. Last year’s event was both fun and profitable— it helped us meet the matching funds requirement to purchase the Picture Archiving and Retrieval System (PACS). We will accept donations the week before the event and we can arrange pickup if needed. Superior Mountain Lodge #110 meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month beginning at 7 p.m. The next meeting is set for April 1.

Mineral County Conservation District will meet on April 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the MSU-Mineral County Extension Office, 301 Second Ave E., Superior, MT. All meetings are open to the public. An agenda will be posted at the Extension Office.

The Ninemile Wildlife Workgroup will host its monthly “Celebrate Wildlife” presentation on Tuesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. Wildlife rehabilitator Kate Davis of Raptors of the Rockies will be accompanied by live raptors. This is a no-cost MUST event for kids of all ages! Please join us at the historic Ninemile Ranger Station on Remount Road. For more information, call 626-5675.

Kindergarten Round-up at Superior Elementary School will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm. Children eligible for Kindergarten must be five (5) years of age as of September 10. Parents/guardians must bring their child’s state issued birth certificate, current immunization record and social security card with them to the Round-up. Alberton American Legion Post 131 meets at 7:30 p.m. every first Thursday of the month at the Alberton Senior Center. The Ninemile Wildlife Workgroup will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 3, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Ninemile Ranger Station’s Visitor Center. Residents of Sixmile, Petty Creek, Alberton, Huson and Frenchtown, as well as Ninemile, are encouraged to join us in working to maintain the regional Ninemile Wildlife Corridor. The Superior Senior Center hosts Bingo every first Saturday at 1 p.m. The next meeting is set for April 5.

Mineral County’s First Annual Home Tour, showcasing the building industry, new construction, and local businesses, will be held Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Maps are available at the starting point, Superior Color & Lumber, 213 Mullan Rd., Superior. The tour will be free to the public and attendees will enjoy free food and can register to win a variety of prizes at each of the homes on the tour.
